Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo

The Xperia Neo, much like Xperia Play has been subjected to numerous leaks ahead of its unveiling. Sony Ericsson seems to be gearing up for the official launch of the Xperia Neo during the MWC 2011 in Barcelona. more info and video after the break...

According to GSMArena, this device apparently encompasses a 4-inch LED backlit LCD touchscreen with a 854 x 480 pixel resolution. Also, the phone could be powered by the new Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS and might come with a customized UI. Other alleged specifications of this device include a 1GHz processor, 8MP camera with 720p video recording capabilities, an Adreno 205 GPU and more.

TechRadar has delved further into the specs while providing a sneak peek at the gizmo. The bits of information offered include details such as the handset sporting a human curvature form which is similar to the original Vivaz model. It is also speculated that the device exhibits a camera as well as proximity and light sensors on the front. The lock/power key is said to be on the right-hand side of the smartphone with a long volume key just below it.

It has even been asserted that a camera with an 8.1 MP sensor is centrally positioned on the back side of the phone. The top of the device exhibits three ports, one for microUSB and charging, a second for a 3.5mm headphone jack and the last for a mini-HDMI output. The mobile device has a width measuring around 11-12mm and it comes with a relatively large battery.

Users wanting to lay their hands on the Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo will obviously have to wait for an official announcement regarding its availability and pricing details. via
