Sony Ericsson is about to release the Xperia Play, their attempt to compete with the iPhone (pffft). The device is a cross between a mobile phone and a PSP, more info and images after the break...
I do not think this has been tried since the N-Gage and I remember that went horribly wrong for Nokia, but what these guys first foray into this type of phone. At first glance, I think it looks great, the design is very sleek and compact enough and the buttons are not uncomfortable at all .. Infact the game slip looks like the PSP a lot. Nice big bright screen, like most smartphones today. I always hated the touch-screen phones next to the apple "simply because the interface is very ergonomic, does not freeze like the others I've used (Samsung.. Grrrr). This phone sports the latest version of Android, which is a plus . I suspect it will be very popular among young people is obviously due to the functionality of the game is also what mp3 player etc. via
