As one of our most prolific designers, Long-Nong Huang is back with the HTC Gamer, a very interesting portable device, that sports a 7 inch display. The gadget uses a single core processor Qualcomm Snapdragon at 1.4 GHz and a front camera of 2 megapixels. Return, you will find a 5 megapixel camera with dual LED flash.

HTC Android gamer gets 3.0 honeycomb supports connectivity HSPA + and has a 6000mAh battery with 12 hours of gameplay in 3D. The list of specifications of the device is complete with 7-inch 1 GB of RAM, HDMI, a microUSB port and a special care. via

PS Square - The Smart Mobile Device

Xperia Play Duo, Follow-up to the PSP Phone

Xperia Play Duo device was designed by Esato board member pavlov’s dog and can be seen in the image above. The Xperia Play 2 (or Play Duo) keeps the sliding design, the portion above that reminds us of the Xperia X10 and the gaming controls.

There’s a quad core A9 CPU inside this newcomer, that’s only a concept right now and the screen is 4.5 inch in diagonal (720p OLED). Expect quite a number of years to pass before you see the next PSP Phone.

Consolor HD2, Much Better Than the PSP Phone

If I were to choose between the PSP Phone and this gadget, the Consolor HD2 would win the battle, hands down. Created by Joseph Dumary, this concept console features an AMOLED HD screen, displaying Full HD images with an unique level of brilliance. This is the follow-up to the Consolor HD1 design, that received many votes on this website.

Consolor HD2 is able to display local television channels, it performs free calls with other similar consoles and exchanges files. Also, the gadget supports multitasking, photo and video editing and YouTube video publishing. Of course, social networking is also on board and there’s a cartridge system included, too, just like on the good old GameBoy.

PlayStation Phone Confirmed and Pictured! Specs and Genuine PSP Phone Images

We’ve shown you a ton of PSP Phone concepts, actually our first post on this site was about such a device and now finally there’s a real handset to look at. Uncovered by Engadget, this PlayStation Phone prototype is actually nifty looking and pretty much everything we predicted it would be: a hybrid between the XPERIA X10 and the PSP Go!.

Apparently, it’ll run Android 3.0 (Gingerbread) and feature a 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8655 CPU, 512MB RAM, 1GB ROM, a microSD card slot, Bluetooth, WiFi and a display with a diagonal that fits in the 3.7 – 4.1 inch range. Notice that between the directional pad and the action buttons there’s a multitouch touchpad, with yet unknown use.

Sony PlayStation Portable Phone Design, Based on Android 2.2 and 3.8 Inch Touchscreen

After showing us a nifty iPad 2 concept, Joy Studios now reveals a Sony Playstation Portable Phone design. This device is based on Android 2.2 and it’ll support an update to Android 3.0 in the future. Also, it comes with a 3.8 inch Sony Super LCD touchscreen, supporting a 480 x 847 pixel resolution.

The portable console’s specs list includes GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, 3G+, a 5MP camera, 720p video capture and mini HDMI out. 32 gigs of memory are available for you and a sliding control mechanism similar to the one on the PSP Go console. More images and info after the break...

New PSP Phone Design is Based on Sony Mylo 2

As we’re getting closer to what may be the launch of the very first PSP Phone, there’s another nifty concept of the device to glance at. Pictured below, the PSP Phone design made by iSuriv is based on the Sony Mylo 2 combined with a PSP and an XPERIA handset.

The supposed specs of the device include a 5 inch Super AMOLED screen, a Cortex A9 CPU, WiFi and Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity, plus 4G and an accelerometer. iSuriv also wants an accelerometer on the console phone, a proximity sensor, a light sensor and gyroscope. The internal memory will be 8/16GB, accompanied by a microSD slot, while the camera at the back will be an 8MP unit with LED flash and capable of 720p video recording. more info and images after the break...

Sony Playstation Phone, by Frank Tobias

It’s been a while since we saw the last Playstation Phone, but here’s another design, created by Frank Tobias, also known as Remort1, on the Esato board. The back side of the PSP Phone reminds us of the Playstation3 console, while the front side is very basic, with a full touchscreen and Home button.

We have to mention that you can find more of Frank Tobias’ works on this site, if you’re curious. In the meantime, we wonder how Windows Phone 7 would look on this sleek Playstation Phone, although the Xbox support in the OS kinda cancels out the whole thing.

Samsung Gaming Phone Takes on the N-Gage and PSP Phone

Still recovering from the shock of almost seeing a real PSP Phone, we stumble upon yet another piece of info announcing a gaming cellphone. This time we’re dealing with a patent showing a Samsung device, surprisingly enough a clamshell that has nothing to do with the PSP Phone or any N-Gage-based handset.

Forget the PSP Phone and any attempt at turning Nokia phones into real gaming devices, as Samsung’s got a new idea and a cool patent. This clamshell features an inner display that’s not fixed, being able to swing and reveal a set of gaming controls. That leaves enough room for an extra speaker and allows gamers to play in landscape mode, if portrait doesn’t do it for them.
Ergonomics and control are surely going to be a problem in the case of this device… I can’t see myself handling the control system easily and I bet that the fragile display will at some point get broken, since you can toy with it so much. What’s your take on this patent?

Real PSP Phone Surfaces in Stuff Magazine

Stardate 18-02-2008… These are the voyages of the starship Rumorprise, bound to find the PSP Phone any minute now. It’s barely reached planet Stuff (magazine) and it seems that the device will feature a 480 x 272 display, a mini analog stick and finally lack that useless UMD drive. We’ll be playing game via M2 and what you can see above are (as mentioned) scans from Stuff magazine, which I spotted thanks to the folks of engadget. There’s also a supposed launch date in the magazine: July-December plus a few other details you’ll find out by reading the rest of the entry.

Nintendo Wii Concept Phone is More of a Wiimote

Of course we’d like to see a Wii gaming phone, but it’s very unlikely, now that Nintendo has big plans for 2008, in its console segment. Also, in case Nintendo ever decides to join the pack of mobile phone manufacturers, I’m sensing a partnership with Apple, don’t ask why, I just think that the two brands are compatible. About the concept in the image above, isn’t the screen too small for the device? And does it still run on AA batteries just like the Wiimote? [via mobilewhack]

Gamer Phone Inspires LG’s Design Team

While Sony and Samsung are showing us concepts and patents of their future gaming phones, Nokia’s still perfecting that N-GAGE platform and seemingly there’s no other competitor in this console/handset niche. Thank God for concepts, then! What you can see below is Gamer Phone, designed by RKS Design in order to “inspire LG’s internal design teams” as they state.

This beauty resembles the PSP a bit, only that it’s thinner and the display goes deeper into the body of the handset, plus it’s a touchscreen. Just hope that it comes with a neat and user-friendly interface, but for now I’m just wondering how am I going to hold this device pressed to my ear when I’m on the phone. Oh well, I’ll just use a headset…
